How I build galleries

My last few posts have been sort of fluff and puff.  Not much meat for you to chew on.  Sometimes I just like to ramble about how I think about things – random thoughts and philosophy.  But I really believe that shit.  Like in my last post about “wishing” for a sale on fling to get the $100 bonus on Friday – yep, I got it. :) (at least I should, but it’s showing as $35 right now).

Anyway, I wanted to share how I build galleries.  It takes me about 1-2 hours to make a gallery, submit it with chameleon, and do all the confirmations.  I’m really proud of them, even though I don’t make them from scratch.  But I don’t have to with all the free templates you can find online.

I use a lot of internet marketing templates.  I’m going to showcase some here that I got from landingpageclassroom.com.  You have to sign up with your email, but it’s free and they got some great video tutorials that will help you with any online marketing efforts.

Basically the templates are grouped into categories like “insurance”, “health”, “dating”, etc…

As you know, I promote the hell out of virtuagirl.  Here is a gallery I made this morning.  I used a “life insurance” template and modified it.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

I touched on how I promote virtuagirl in an earlier post.  I incorporated all those techniques plus something new – I added a user testimonial - a stock internet marketing technique.

To build my galleries, I use dreamweaver and fireworks.  Dreamweaver has a nice little macro that builds the thumbnails and links to the full picture automatically.  All I have to do is select the thumbnail size and images.

To build the template, I simply load the provided psd file into fireworks from whatever site is providing the free template and edit.  In this case I delete the stock family image and put in a profile pic of the liliane.  Changed the text to “RatedXPics.com” plus all the other text to read “Absolutely free Download – Click Here”, etc….

I then replaced the “As seen on: cnbc, cnn, aol” graphic with the RTA, ICRA, and verisgn logos.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

Now I add some graphics back in:

Then the text:

Now I download the Girls Free Content from totemcash – I get 16 high quality images that dreamweaver can create a simple thumbnail gallery.  I run the macro and get something like this:

To insert this thumbnail gallery neatly into the template I made, I break the template into three parts – a top, bottom, and middle.

TOP: (top.jpg)

MIDDLE: (mid.jpg)

BOTTOM: (bot.jpg)

I then create a html table with the exact dimensions of the template width with three rows.

<table width=”780″ border=”0″ cellspacing=”0″ cellpadding=”0″>
<tr>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
</tr>
</table>

Then I simple insert the graphics into each corresponding row.  The top header graphic into row one, the middle graphic (as a background) into row two, then the bottom graphic into row three.

<table width=”780″ border=”0″ align=”center” cellpadding=”0″ cellspacing=”0″>
<tr>
<td><img src=”/pics/vg0138/graphics/top.jpg”/></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td background=”/pics/vg0138/graphics/mid.jpg”>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><img src=”/pics/vg0138/graphics/bot.jpg” width=”780″ height=”14″ /></td>
</tr>
</table>

In the second row of the table, I cut the entire thumbnail gallery that dreamweaver made and insert it.

I add some more text and sponsor banners, 2257 info, etc…

You’re welcome to peek at the code.  Here is the link to the gallery I submitted this morning:

Liliane Tiger

Even if you don’t have dreamweaver and fireworks, there are free tools available that do essentially the same things I did above.  Check out download.com for some free thumbnail gallery builders.  Can’t think of any off the top of my head, but you’ll find plenty there.

I also recommend you read Howling Wulfs How to create a TGP Gallery. He’s the master of tgp submission.

The above gallery took exactly 1 hour 34 minutes to build, submit to 200 galleries with chameleon, and do email confirmations.  Almost 25 minutes of that time was just writing the damn descriptions for the submits.  You know – 20, 30, 35, 50, and 100 character length descriptions that chameleon asks for – I just suck at writing for porn.  About another 10 minutes of just uploading the files.  When I’m on a role – meaning I can write descriptions in 2 minutes instead of 25, I can pump a nice gallery out in 1 hour flat.

Some other things I think about when building the galleries is color.  I always try to match the color of the template with the colors in the pictures.

Like this one: First Porn Audition (blue jeans, blue sofa – hence blue template)

and this one: Belicia Purpler Night

This last one I’ve shown before, and I wasn’t sure if I should go with red or blue.  However, the red drink she is drinking ties it all the colors together nicely: Hot Fling with Samantha

Anyway, you get the idea.

Well there you have it!  How I build galleries.  Hope I gave you some insight and ideas on how to build your next galleries.

$1000 Milestone

Well today I was totaling up my numbers and found I broke $1000 as of yesterday for this year!  After all expenses – hosting, chameleon, new domain registrations, I’m up $800. So there is money to be made in porn after all.

Each month it feels like I’m just barely scraping by, and yet I hit this number.  Little by little it adds up I guess.

I really hope this helps motivate some of you who are still struggling.  I mean seriously, I’m not doing anything particularly special.  Just submitting galleries and making blogs.  If you’ve seen my galleries and blogs, I’m sure you weren’t too impressed either.  Sure, some of them are pretty, but all I did was use those internet marketing templates you can find all over google.

Sometimes I wonder if it’s just the positive mental attitude I carry with me.  Can it be true that’s all it really takes?  Is that the difference?  Or is it that I don’t really care if this makes money or not, but do it because I just enjoy it.  Does that somehow translate into making better converting galleries and blogs?

I’m really racking my brains here because I see in the forums all the time about newbies busting their asses off and not getting results. I’m working hard, but not all the time.  I take plenty of breaks.  Sometimes days at a time – either by choice or because I’m just too tired after my day job.  I haven’t submitted anything the last two days.  Hopefully tonight I’ll pump one out after this post.

So today I present to you this thought.  Don’t buy into all the chatter about how you have to bust your ass off and how this business is so hard to get into now.  If you look for reasons to fail, you’ll find them:  “It’s too saturated, everything is free, and it’s not how it used to be. ” My favorite one is “You need a gazillion hits a day to make any sales.” or something like that.

Yes, it’s all true.  But I remember something else I heard years ago. – “The opposite of a truth is another truth.“  So I say: “It’s not too saturarted, nothing is for free, and it’s better than it used to be.“  Oh, and: “You don’t need that much traffic to make a sale.”

Look here:

Sometimes just wishing it to happen works!

Fling is running a special this month – $100 fridays.  Guess what I’m wishing for right now?

Webmaster Secrets – Not!

Just a making a post today on some random thoughts I’m having. I’m always wondering if there are any secrets to making it in this business – or any business for that matter. If you dig enough in the forums you can usually find a few gold nuggets of information. There really are no secrets.

I skim the forums constantly, sometimes at the expense of doing real work. Once in a while I’ll read a great tip that will hit on something I never thought of. Like in my last post about doing a youtube. Not revolutionary, but I never gave it much thought until I saw someone else doing it.

This blog is full of little things I do all the time, and hopefully some of you get inspired and take my little ideas and make something big out of it. Nothing would make me happier than to see everyone making lots of money.

Some argue that it’s not a good idea to feed your competition with “trade secrets”, that you would only be hurting yourself. Maybe so, but it doesn’t matter to me. If you happen to take something from this blog and make ten times more money than me, even dominate on something I started then push me out completely – that’s life.

Trust me, there is very little if anything I’m doing that you probably haven’t thought of or aren’t already doing better. I enjoy working this business and that’s enough for me. Hopefully the money will follow and we can all have a drink together.

There are so many things I haven’t shared yet, not because I don’t want to, but because I don’t want to just spit out every random thing I’m doing or get excited about. I like to test things out for a little while and see some results first. Like my post on keyword research. I could have just spit out a quick blurb on it and some of you may have been able to take it from there. But I wanted to make a decent post with real life examples, screen shots, and my results. Even if the results were minimal, there was enough information there for anyone to get started and expand on it.

Basically all I’m saying is my motivation for this blog is sincere. I want you to do well. Everything I write – I’m writing for you. I want you to know I’m talking to you – not the masses.

Sure, I have all my affiliate links spread out all over this blog. But I like to lead by example. And this brings me to today’s lesson:

Anchor Text

Notice how I use anchor text? See how some of my affiliate links lead to pages within this blog? Like fling.com and virtuagirl. I have a plugin that automatically inserts the hyperlinks for me on those keywords and any keywords I choose. The plugin is called – no surprise – automatic seo links.

Guess what? This blog ranks on page one of google for “fling affiliate” and “virtuagirl affiliate”.

Check it out (as of this writing):
http://www.google.com/search?q=fling+affiliate
http://www.google.com/search?q=virtuagirl+affiliate

So when making anchor text for your affiliate links, point them to your own site first – a “landing page” if you will.

Well that’s it for now. Need to make a gallery and submit tonight. Hope you are making lots of money!

Quick Update my first YouTube

I’m so busy at my day job and I’m moving to Maryland next week. Gonna be crazy.

However, I’m still plugging away at this business, submitting galleries, reading the forums, and working on new strategies.

February was a pretty good month, considering it was only 28 days, I still grossed about $426. I would easily be over the $500 mark if I counted today – where I’m up about $80 already. My expenses were relatively low, about $32 in hosting fees and $25 for chameleon. I also bought 3 new domains for $23. So my net is …uh…uh… about $350.

So I’m very happy with the progress so far – considering I missed submitting about half the month.

I have so many new things to write about, trying out lots of new seo software, some paid, some free. Once I get it all straightened out, I’ll do a nice long post on them.

For now, I’ll share this. One of the things I’m experimenting with is putting up youtubes for my virtuagirl software.

I used a free screen capture software called cam studio. I also used the free movie maker that comes with windows to add the finishing touches – like titles and fade ins. The music in the video is also free at this site: http://www.pacdv.com/sounds/free-music.html

Here’s the finished product:

Still a bit rough, but I think I can improve on this greatly with a little practice. I have so many “notes to self” on this one. Like is it too long? How do I promote this or is it a waste of time? I don’t know, but I think this has great potential.

I’ve only scratched the surface of everything I’m doing and I need to get back to work, but I wanted share just a little of what I’ve been up to. I promise to share everything once I get a little further ahead and can organize it in a way that makes sense.

I don’t know if any of all the new efforts I’m working on is going to turn into dollars, but sometimes life is about the journey, right?

Hope you are all having as much fun working this business as I am.

New stuff and disappointments

I spent a great deal of time yesterday researching some new domain names. I picked up 3 that show lots of promise. I basically followed my methodology of keyword research where I look at the number of searches verses the competition for the keyword straight up and keyword in the website title.

Milf Kissing

Lady Gaga Ass

Hot Guys Stripping

There not up yet, but I plan to put blogs on them and promote (obviously) milf, celeb, and totemcash.

I also want to report on some disappointing results on my latest efforts to promote ratedxpics.com. I submitted two galleries with links pointing back to the site asking surfers to vote on the girl in the gallery. The galleries got listed on persiankitty among others, so the traffic was significant. I’m not seeing hardly any increase in traffic to that site, either in direct type-ins or clicks on the embedded links.

I suppose the only real benefit I’ll get is I now have hundreds of backlinks to my site with keyword anchor text, so at least it’s not a total loss. I typically do see some nice se traffic after a while from that.

My fling sites are doing well, making about $245 so far this month – all from my blog. I decided I need some more exposure, so I submitted a gallery yesterday prominently displaying my domain name. I’m pretty proud of this gallery, I think it really looks good. Again I just used an internet marketing minisite template I found online. Take a look: Hot Fling.com I’m already seeing some hits from tommys site. Hopefully this gallery will convert since I’ve had a lot of trouble converting fling on tgps in the past.

Totemcash is getting some good traffic now from my recent gallery submits, however my installs have all but stopped. Usually I get about 1 install for every 20 hits, but right now I’ve got over 200 hits and no installs. Gonna have to figure out what I did wrong on that effort. Of course I’ll share that insight in a later post.

I’m promoting a new sponsor – TopBucks. Since they don’t provide content until you make 2 sales, I had to use content that I bought from scarlet. Here’s the gallery: Amateur Pics of Silvy

I really hope I get a couple of sales from it, since I will run out of content fast if I decide to continue promoting topbucks. I really like their sites and need to expand my niches.

I’m trying out some new things on my blogs. I setup a picrush.com banner on one of my blogs that’s not getting enough traffic. It’s basically a banner exchange program where you get impressions based on clicks you send. I’m going to expand on this across several blogs, particularly on ones that aren’t getting traffic.

Another thing I’m going to experiment with are subdomains. I setup a subdomain on my virtuagirl download blog called Morgane VirtuaGirl.

I’m going to do the same keyword research to pick the subdomain names and go crazy. Be interesting to see how they develop compared to primary keyworded domains.

Chameleon Submitter
A common question in the forums is whether it’s worth it or not. Considering the time it saves me in submitting, it’s definitely worth every penny. I was considering not renewing it this month. So I looked at all the traffic I was getting, narrowed it down to about 30 tgp sites. I figured maybe I could manually submit to those daily and not pay for chameleon. After about 30 minutes, I gave up and just renewed my chameleon account. It was taking way to long to make the galleries – creating the sample thumbnails, adding the recipts, and saving each file. Chameleon does this all this in a matter of minutes for hundreds of sites. My time (and sanity) was worth more than $1 a day I pay for chameleon.

So what about the traffic? Since chameleon submits to all the big tgps and partner accounts you may have, the traffic can be substantial. However, most people are interested in the traffic from all the smaller tgps that they normally may not submit to. For me, it’s worth the backlink with anchor text to submit to all those little tgp sites. However, all the traffic combined hardly comes close to a single good paid partner account like tommys.

Of course I have to qualify that statement with I’ve only submitted pic galleries to a few niches – teen, milf, pornstar. Hence, I’m only submitting to a small sample of sites available in chameleon. I average about 200+ sites per day, however there are over 1400 sites to submit too. This includes mgp sites, other niches, and partner accounts I haven’t submitted too yet.

Here is a gallery I submitted on Feb 10 : Lorena VirtuaGirl

Total direct hits in: 2,555

Persian Kitty: 1005

Tommys Bookmark: 546

Thehun: 0 (not listed yet?)

This leaves a net number of hits around 900 from the other tgp sites in chameleon. It’s hard to be exact since 20-30 hits are from this blog or the forums where I asked for feedback, another 20-30 hits from search engines.

If I remember correctly I submitted to niches: solo, brunette, natural tits, softcore. So I didn’t hit the biggest niches like teen and amateur.

This time I didn’t get as many hits from tommy as usual and sometimes the hits from all the other tgps are less that a single listing in tommys.

What I’m getting at is the numbers can vary greatly depending on the niches you pick, the gallery description, and the sites it gets accepted on. There are maybe 6 or 7 sites that have banned me or webair, so there’s traffic I’m not getting but maybe would have been substantial.

I did lots of other stuff yesterday that I will get into another post later. I’m running late for work and need to get out of here.

Hope all is well.

Quick update on new blog and thank you

So it’s been a few days since I did my gallery submits pushing my new blog ratedxpics.com I’m started to get some se traffic on the keywords in the blog titles – in particular the model names.

The first gallery was submitted to thehun, persiankitty, and tommys (plus about 200 others in chameleon). So far only persiankitty has it listed and tommy has rejected it. I think he’s tired of my virtuagirl galleries. Thehun takes about 10-15 days to get approved if at all.

Here is the gallery: Gwen Virtuagirl (submitted Feb 17)
[thumb]http://ratedxpics.com/pics/vg0654/gwen-.html[/thumb]
I made the text at the bottom a bit too large, but other than that it’s pretty sharp I think.

I’m seeing plenty of installs this month and getting a few sales.

Comes to $71 total.  Not bad considering I only submitted maybe 5 or 6 galleries to free tgps.  The only paid account I have is tommy’s and he hasn’t been listing my virtuagirl galleries lately.  I did notice that 2 of the sales came from a gallery listed on thehun.  So I’m gonna make sure I submit virtuagirl to thehun from now on.  I can also verify that one sale came from my blog Virtuagirl Download

Thanks again to all those who are signing up under my sponsor affiliate links.  Picked up a three new webmasters this week for virtuagirl.

That makes 6 total webmasters that I’ll get 10% on.  In theory, if I get 10 webmasters who can do what I do, then I should double my income with virtuagirl.  Following the 80/20 rule, I’ll need to get 50 webmasters to sign up total.

I haven’t researched what other webmasters are getting from their “downline”, but maybe I’ll ask in one of the forums.

What I’m seeing so far is even though they are driving more traffic than me, they have no sales.  I got a couple of $1 cuts last month, but this month nada.

In anycase, I really appreciate your support and offer this blog and all my knowledge in return – limited as it is.  I’m gonna see if I can setup a “spam me with your sponsor links” section so everyone can get some webmasters under them.  I have a certain structure in mind for that section rather than just having an open notepad for everyone to spam.  Maybe I’ll work on that today. ;)

So thanks to everyone again for reading.  To your success!

Promoting new adult blog and winking

Will I’m back to submitting regularly now – 2 per day – up to 6 submits in three days.  Not sure why I stopped last week, it’s so easy for me now.

I’m still using chameleon tgp submitter.  I went and looked at my January stats and cleaned out all the manual submits that produced little or no traffic.  So instead of doing 60 manual submits, I only need to do about 15-20 – a real time saver!  I’ve dropped chameleon link list submitter this month.  Trying to save some money till I start making over $500.  The free sites where taking me a couple of hours to make, and although the traffic wasn’t bad, I just don’t have the motivation right now.

I’m still making galleries from scratch.  Here’s my latest one using an internet marketing minisite template I picked up.

Heaven VirtuaGirl

Couple of things I’m doing with this one.  I’m promoting totemcash as usual, but also my new blog Rated X Pics.  I’m going to try to drive some traffic and brand name it so maybe one day I can sell some traffic and advertising.  It’s a pretty awesome domain name and I get about a dozen straight type in traffic hits for it everyday.  No se traffic to speak of yet, but it is brand new.

I also spent and extra few minutes making a cute little graphic for the gallery where the girl asks for a vote and winks.  I’m gonna start making some my galleries where the girl acts like she is talking to you via text bubbles like in cartoons and winking.  It was so easy in fireworks.  We’ll see if this helps click throughs, though it will be hard to measure in the short term.

The blogs are starting to be a chore.  There are constant updates on the plugins that I have to go in and do.  I only have about a dozen blogs going, but it’s very time consuming.  I think once I get up to about 50+ blogs, I may have to look into blog organizer.

I’m learning to write my own plugins now.  It’s not as hard as I thought, but there is a huge learning curve.  I made a little plugin that will put a random link in the footer.  The links are pulled from a database that I made in mysql.  I have a simple form to add new links by category.

I asked for some feedback on the idea at the mp forum, no one seemed interested, but one person suggested that it was a quick way to the sandbox.  I’m not sure I agree with that, since putting links across hundreds of sites is something we do everyday.  For now, I’m gonna just use it on my own blogs.

Here’s the thread: blog linking idea

Hope everyone is making lots of sales!  I’m in a bit of a dry spell right now.  Plenty of installs on virtuagirl and plenty of free signups for fling, but no sales or paid signups yet.  I’m hoping my blogs will pick up on the se traffic and start driving some sales.

Continuing my case study on adult blogging

Not sure what got into me, but I’ve only submitted 4 galleries this month till now.  I got off my ass and submitted two more this morning making it 6.  Shew!

However, I have really been working my blogs pretty hard, tweaking things here and there.  Still have a few blogs to get to, but I’ve got my ratedxpics.com blog all done.  One of the galleries I submitted today only has links going to it, so hopefully that will drive some traffic directly.

Lots of comments these past few days about getting seo traffic to the blogs.  I’ve been promising to do a post about how I do tweak for seo traffic. So today I’m gonna try and give it a start.

Basically, it’s about keyword research.  I’ll use one of my blogs as an example, continuing the case study I started earlier here: Case Study In that post I you’ll see my brand new blog College Girl Fucked and the keywords I targeted and the seo traffic I started out with.  Do a quick read on it and I’ll pick up from there.

I haven’t done anything with it since I made that post.  To summarize – submitted a free site and 2 galleries promoting it with a small link at the bottom that says “No thanks – take me to College Girl Fucked”.

The first thing I do is a little research on a niche then pick a sponsor I want to promote.  I found Dare Dorms with nastydollars was converting well for other webmasters based on their stats – posted here.  It kinda hits several niches at once – amateur, teen, reality, and college girls.  So you have a pretty wide net when submitting to tgps.

Now that I have a niche and sponsor, I start doing keyword research.  I use the google keywords tool to help me pick a domain name.  Daredorm is a college teen reality site, so I start with a basic search like “college girls”.

Click on the “Get keyword ideas” and you’ll get a list like this:

I then sort by local search volume – which means in my case the United States.  I also select “phrase match” which just means that the keywords must appear but can be in any order.

You’ll see several potential keywords to choose from.  I’m looking for something that gets over 1000 searches.  Everything from “real college girl” and higher is a potential domain name.  I then export these keywords into notepad.

Then I edit the list getting rid of the quotes and spaces like so:

I want to see if any of these are available in a dot com – so I just do a bulk search at godaddy.  I simply cut and paste the list into the bulk domain name registration form below.

Check the “.com” box.  I rarely see any domain rank that was not a dot com in the adult business.  Then just click on search.

Now that I see what is available, and I like them, I will do one more step before I decide to buy them.  I want to see what the competition is like for these keywords in the domains I’m interested in.  So I just do a google search for “real college girl” and “college girl fucked”.

If you look in the upper right hand corner, you’ll see 368,000 competing listings.  That’s pretty high, but not too bad in the adult realm.  I normally like to see under 100k.

For college girl fucked, there are 2,320,000 competing listings.  However, if you’ll notice – my site is currently ranking #3!  I normally wouldn’t have bought this domain, but I really liked it and decided to do one more step before deciding on it.

I searched for how many sites had the keywords in the title like this:

Now we’re talking! Only 30,700 competing listings.

You could go further and research each of the top listings to see how many links are coming in, their page rank, site age, etc…  However, in this business, it’s not as important as the work you do after you buy the domain name.  You basically just want to have a head start.

So how’s my domain collegegirlfucked.com doing today?

Wow – 3184 Visits!!! And it’s only Feb 18th.  Should be almost 6000 by end of the month.

As you can see, most of the hits are coming from google.  To look at it another way, I’m getting about 30 hits per day on the keywords I’m targeting.

Here are the keywords it’s ranking for so far:

So there you have it.  That’s how I get seo traffic to start with.  keeping this up and improving on it is just a matter of building links back to the sight using the keywords in the anchor text.  You can do this through link exchanges, posting to directories, and submitting tgps and free sites.

Oh, by the way, I haven’t made any sales from this blog yet.  So as you might have suspected, I’ll need a lot more traffic.  Also, I haven’t done any writing on this blog yet and it needs a lot of work in terms of pushing people to the sponsor.  I’m gonna contact jester-x again and outsource that to him.  So this blog is far from done.

After you have the domain name and wordpress with all the plugins I’ve recommended in the past – there’s a couple of quickie things you can do for seo.  Take a look at this comment I made recently : twitter and friendfeed and pingler

There’s plenty more that needs to be done for seo – and seriously – I am no expert.  However, I recommend installing the seobook.com plugin for firefox and reading everything on that site.  It’s a tremendous wealth of info.

Anyway, I hope this helps some of you get off on the right foot.  My fingers are a really tired now, so I may come back and edit this post a few times to reword it or add stuff.  If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

To your success!

New Blog – New plugins

I spent most of the day yesterday working on a new blog.  Still have a few loose ends, but it’s pretty much done.  It incorporates all of the techniques I’ve outlined before, plus 4 NEW plugins that are pretty cool.

Here is the Blog: Rated X Pics

It’s a pic post and pic rating site.  It’s sort of a blog version of the ratexpics.com site.  It displays one picture at a time, then lets the visitor rate and move onto another random pic in the archive.  It also randomly morphs a description for each picture.  I’ll explain why I do this in a minute.  Finally, there is a report broken or inappropriate post plugin that let’s users report a bad link.  I added this incase I decide to open up this blog as a pic post to other webmasters.

To populate my blog, I used plugins photoq and utopia cron.  I then went to totemcash and downloaded some girls content.  In the info.xml file of the content is a description of the model.  I use this description for all the pics.  This would normally make 16 duplicate descriptions for the 16 pics in the content.  To morph these descriptions for each post, I used the wp chame leon plugin.  This way I get a unique description for each post!

Take a look at this plugin in action.  Just refresh this link to see the description in each post change on the fly!

Jana Cova

Pretty cool.

—————————————

Going back to business about the gallery I got feedback on yesterday, it has now been posted to most of the tgp sites.  I’m already seeing an improved install and ctr (just a gut feeling).

I had 102 clicks and 4 installs yesterday vs. 98 clicks and 0 installs the day before.  As most of you know by now, it’s hard to track totemcash exactly with a more sophisticated tracking system which I’ll have to explore later.

I’m also getting some good results with another new blog: College Girl Strips

  • 190 Visits (after deducting 33 from this blog)
  • 71 clicks to sponsor lightspeedcash
  • 0 sales
  • Most of the visits came from google searches!

I’m gonna work on updating all my blogs with the text morphing as soon as I get jester-x to write some stuff up for me.

I’m focusing on blogging based on lots of things I’ve mentioned before.  However, there is a nice little survey over at the mp forum that justifies blogging as a serious medium for the adult webmaster.  Take a look here: How are you making money these days

Currently blogs are #1 with galleries #2.

Based on the results I’m seeing so far, I would have to agree.  Although my new blogs aren’t making money yet, they show huge promise based on the traffic I’m getting so far.

Hope it’s warm where you are.

Winter Wonderland – next steps

30-40 inches of snow since Friday, now an official “blizzard” warning today adding high winds, low temps and another 10-20 inches.

Well, I’ve spend some time over at MP forum, and asked for some feedback on my last free site and galleries:

here are the stats so far.

Raw hits to those pages: 8886
Raw hits to my blog from those pages: 82
Raw hits to nastydollars: 487 (ctr 5.48%)
Overall ctr (blog+sponsor): 6.40%

0 Sales.

Here is the thread: Feedback

To summarize:

  • Larger equal dimension thumbs
  • Keyword targeted text
  • Text that draws the surfer in
  • Don’t use sponsor banners with large size easy type-in domains
  • Watch out for blind links
  • Don’t link to my own site

Blog

  • add description to each pic
  • add text links

So I made this gallery:Lorena Virtua Girl

I tried to incorporate all of the suggestions and I’m waiting some feedback on that gallery, although it seems the interest in my thread has waned.

On the blog front, I’m going to go with two approaches. The first approach I’ve already detailed about how to setup a semi-automatic blog that posts pics in my previous post.

The second approach will be to add descriptions to each pic on 4 select blogs. Since I can’t write adult content worth a damn, I’m going to outsource to Jester-x. I’m estimating about $100 for Qty 100 posts, 50 words each, 25 posts to each of 4 blogs.

My goal here is to feed the search engines and have 4 blogs that are more that just pic posts. Once they are setup and all the posts made, I will begin looking for hard link trades. I may need to get a trade script here soon, as I like to automate as much as I can.

I’m also setting up some blogs on free blog hosts. I found two so far.

The idea here is to have links on them that point back to my other blogs.  There are some that say setting up 100’s of blogs is the way to go.  That’s not really my style, but I will gradually build blogs on free hosted sites just like submitting galleries and free sites.

It’s been a slow first week for feb.  Think I’m up about $40.  Not surprised since I haven’t been submitting much and watching doctor who.  Sorry I’m not setting a good example for newbies.

Hope all is going well for you all.
