How I build galleries

My last few posts have been sort of fluff and puff.  Not much meat for you to chew on.  Sometimes I just like to ramble about how I think about things – random thoughts and philosophy.  But I really believe that shit.  Like in my last post about “wishing” for a sale on fling to get the $100 bonus on Friday – yep, I got it. :) (at least I should, but it’s showing as $35 right now).

Anyway, I wanted to share how I build galleries.  It takes me about 1-2 hours to make a gallery, submit it with chameleon, and do all the confirmations.  I’m really proud of them, even though I don’t make them from scratch.  But I don’t have to with all the free templates you can find online.

I use a lot of internet marketing templates.  I’m going to showcase some here that I got from landingpageclassroom.com.  You have to sign up with your email, but it’s free and they got some great video tutorials that will help you with any online marketing efforts.

UPDATE:

Sorry, landingpageclassroom is no longer free.  I got in at “launch” and assumed it was still free when I wrote this post.  Guess they really mean it sometimes when they say “limited offer”. :(

I will share some other places I get templates from in my next post.

Basically the templates are grouped into categories like “insurance”, “health”, “dating”, etc…

As you know, I promote the hell out of virtuagirl.  Here is a gallery I made this morning.  I used a “life insurance” template and modified it.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

I touched on how I promote virtuagirl in an earlier post.  I incorporated all those techniques plus something new – I added a user testimonial - a stock internet marketing technique.

To build my galleries, I use dreamweaver and fireworks.  Dreamweaver has a nice little macro that builds the thumbnails and links to the full picture automatically.  All I have to do is select the thumbnail size and images.

To build the template, I simply load the provided psd file into fireworks from whatever site is providing the free template and edit.  In this case I delete the stock family image and put in a profile pic of the liliane.  Changed the text to “RatedXPics.com” plus all the other text to read “Absolutely free Download – Click Here”, etc….

I then replaced the “As seen on: cnbc, cnn, aol” graphic with the RTA, ICRA, and verisgn logos.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

Now I add some graphics back in:

Then the text:

Now I download the Girls Free Content from totemcash – I get 16 high quality images that dreamweaver can create a simple thumbnail gallery.  I run the macro and get something like this:

To insert this thumbnail gallery neatly into the template I made, I break the template into three parts – a top, bottom, and middle.

TOP: (top.jpg)

MIDDLE: (mid.jpg)

BOTTOM: (bot.jpg)

I then create a html table with the exact dimensions of the template width with three rows.

<table width=”780″ border=”0″ cellspacing=”0″ cellpadding=”0″>
<tr>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
</tr>
</table>

Then I simple insert the graphics into each corresponding row.  The top header graphic into row one, the middle graphic (as a background) into row two, then the bottom graphic into row three.

<table width=”780″ border=”0″ align=”center” cellpadding=”0″ cellspacing=”0″>
<tr>
<td><img src=”/pics/vg0138/graphics/top.jpg”/></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td background=”/pics/vg0138/graphics/mid.jpg”>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><img src=”/pics/vg0138/graphics/bot.jpg” width=”780″ height=”14″ /></td>
</tr>
</table>

In the second row of the table, I cut the entire thumbnail gallery that dreamweaver made and insert it.

I add some more text and sponsor banners, 2257 info, etc…

You’re welcome to peek at the code.  Here is the link to the gallery I submitted this morning:

Liliane Tiger

Even if you don’t have dreamweaver and fireworks, there are free tools available that do essentially the same things I did above.  Check out download.com for some free thumbnail gallery builders.  Can’t think of any off the top of my head, but you’ll find plenty there.

I also recommend you read Howling Wulfs How to create a TGP Gallery. He’s the master of tgp submission.

The above gallery took exactly 1 hour 34 minutes to build, submit to 200 galleries with chameleon, and do email confirmations.  Almost 25 minutes of that time was just writing the damn descriptions for the submits.  You know – 20, 30, 35, 50, and 100 character length descriptions that chameleon asks for – I just suck at writing for porn.  About another 10 minutes of just uploading the files.  When I’m on a role – meaning I can write descriptions in 2 minutes instead of 25, I can pump a nice gallery out in 1 hour flat.

Some other things I think about when building the galleries is color.  I always try to match the color of the template with the colors in the pictures.

Like this one: First Porn Audition (blue jeans, blue sofa – hence blue template)

and this one: Belicia Purpler Night

This last one I’ve shown before, and I wasn’t sure if I should go with red or blue.  However, the red drink she is drinking ties it all the colors together nicely: Hot Fling with Samantha

Anyway, you get the idea.

Well there you have it!  How I build galleries.  Hope I gave you some insight and ideas on how to build your next galleries.

  2. I originally got a link from one of the internet marketing email newsletters I subscribed too.

    Apparently there was a small window to get in for free, now I don’t see the link anymore. All that pops up is the “get 2 free templates”.

    Will update my post right now to reflect that landinpageclassroom is no longer free.

    -Sorry :(

  3. Your methodology is interesting. Did you compare the results between “professional” ladning pages and those that you designed yourself?
    Is the CTR/final conversion just the same/better/much better?

    Good work

  4. CTR is very good for virtuagril. I seem to have that nailed – it’s seems to always be above 30% no matter where a gallery gets listed. (see new post) Conversions are much harder for me to track since totemcash doesn’t have a very good “referral” link tracking on sales.

    Just my opinion, but I feel like if I get the ctr – it’s up to totemcash to convert it into a sale for me. But, based on my gut feelings, I don’t recall ever seeing a conversion from persian kitty or tommys, but do have some from thehun and freeones.

    For other affiliates – my traffic is so low it’s really not statistically relavent – I’ll do a quick post on this right now.

  5. 30% CTR is pretty amazing. I don’t recall having more than 3-4%. Yesterday I had a CTR of around 9% which sent 3000 uniques to the sponsor with 0 sales (!!!) but that was an exception.

  6. I’m running late for work, so I’ll have to double check my stats on virtuagirl, but I think 30% is right. Check back in about an hour or so…. (Post added with most accurate stats)
