The first two weeks of July I actually pumped out about a dozen galleries, trying out a new sponsor and hitting up totemcash.  This past week I’ve been slacking off again.  I’ve been putting in 12-13 hour days including time at the gym, so I’m beat by the time I get home.  Still, I shouldn’t make excuses.  So tonight I’m here plugging away.  I’m actually right in the middle of uploading a new gallery for totemcash.

It takes very little time to build a gallery now.  Only about 10 minutes.  I simply make a few color changes to an old gallery and plug in the new pics.  Here’s my latest submit:

Approximately 68,000 Hits and 1032 clicks equals CTR: 1.5%

So it seems teen niche is a tough sell on the hun.

Anyway, I hope all of you are doing well, even if sales are down.  The summer months have always been slow.  So take this time to analyze the last 6 months and optimize your efforts for the next six months.  I fully predict things will pick up substantially in September.

So again last month I grossed  $772 and wanted to give you guys the data on where sales are coming form along with a little history and observations. I will get to blog information next.

CCBill $327 – 15 Sales and 3 Re-bills, all the sales from 3 of their sponsors, Latin Teen Cash FTV Girls, See My Girlfriend all pretty equally across the sales. I try to push one of them
hard every week and try a new one here and there from CCBill nothing else has converted yet. There are so may CCBill programs I belive there has to be a few more with pushing.

Totem $142 – 31 sales and 1 refund. It converts decently 1:363 however some things that I wish were “better”, the average sale is $4.50 and I had a ton of < $1 sales. I will continue to promote them as psychologically a sale a day roughly always helps motivation. The tracking tools stink and I wish they would update with some new models.

Kinky Dollars  $139 5 Sales and 1 Re-bill, lots of updates to promote form this sponsor and its a niche and this sponsor is all over the place so its luck on sales for this, I have to see low re-bills do as I think they will be decent but have to look a bit harder over the 6 months and / or going forward.

Serious Cash $15 – I get a sale a month from them (3 month in a row) all free blogs never a submit, its typical teen hardcore stuff. I submit 2 -4 a month mostly to get link backs to the blogs.

Asia Movie Pass $50 – this is two months in a row with $50+ sales and I don’t push it too much, I have a couple blogs and submit a movie gallery on occasion and sales seem to trickle in, I may push a little harder this month.

Medium Pimpin $30 – Another one that over 2 months has shown life (4 sales in 60 days) this is all blog traffic never submits, I plan to update the blogs every month for a bit and see if I can get 1 -2 sales a month from them now. I do like there tools, the blog post tool is great and I do plan to put up a few more blogs based on their sites. Theseare the two blogs.

Fling $30 – I cant even sniff Robs conversions, I have a few blogs, 1 free 1 domain I own, and I get about 15-20 hits a day, I get a sale every other month it seems. I want to revisit it a bit after seeing Robs conversions maybe rework the Blog posts…? I wish I could get 3 sales a month form them!

Ama Kings $24 – I do not promote them much 1 Gallery a month and this sale was from over 3 months back.

I will dig up the numbers over the 6 months and figure out the net income like Rob did, I am no tat $2000 profit that’s for sure but I have dished out a lot in partner accounts and a few lessons I learned when starting that I can share later for folks just starting. I wish rebills would pop more often, if I could somehow get rebills close to 15-20 and new sales to 20+ I could be in good shape month – month and could look at spending a few bucks on other promo ideas.

As mentioned I did not renew Chameleon this month, I plan to alternate every other month. I also plan to get more blogs up this month time permitting.

About 1000 hits to Trafficcashgold on 5 galleries,  and 1000 hits to TobBucks and only 1 gallery submitted – $0 earned.

FLING (have to show Jan 1 – Mar 15 and Mar 16 – Jul 4 separatly)

The rest of my income this year is from Totemcash and Fling.  For fling, I got all of my sales from a single blog for a total of $1190.  Totemcash is a little harder to nail down how many galleries I’ve submitted.  My average lately has been pretty low, so I’m guessing maybe 50 galleries altogether this year.  Got about 23,000 hits and 96 sales for a total of $1100.  I had a huge chargeback in March for sales made in November last year of about $329   So my net is about $800.

I’ve made a few dollars from some other affiliates off my blogs that add up another $100 altogether.

Basically about $2600 gross income, $500 in expenses – net about $2100.

Overall I’m pretty happy with how the first half of this is is progressing.  As you know, life has a way of interrupting our business and I’ve had plenty of setbacks this year.  However, I feel like everything is settled now and I can refocus building this business.  I’m 4 days into my new schedule and it’s working out great.  I’ve actually submitted 5 galleries!!!

Not sure what goal I should set for myself for the end of the year.  I certainly think another $2000 is possible, but if I really work at it, I should be able to do much more.  I’m gonna brainstorm a bit and do some soul searching.   I need to have a vision and plan of action.  Just simply submitting galleries everyday can get boring and when I’m bored I quit.

Total Sales $759 (May 22- June 22)

Total cost for partner accounts – $200, I’m not making what I put in but at the moment I’m trying to figure out what works and hold on to ones I see ding sales. I also can’t figure out over 50% of the sales form totem so who knows for sure. If I figure the Q Thumbs cost was a waste then I am only about $25 from brake even on the PA, not too bad if I figure out the right ones to use.

Shemp $40 / BoneMe $39 / World Sex $96 / Quality Thubs $25

Of the above I won’t ever use Quality Thumbs again, its cheap and I see galleries listed however the URLs are broken, none of my listed galleries actually take me to a gallery in fact 90% of his archive links are broken IE and Firefox tested. All attempts to reach them or ask submit passes questions are unanswered.

Most of the Totem URLs = unknown so who knows where they actually come from, perhaps old installs that get converted?

Total Sales from Partner Accounts last month –

Worldsex/AL4A-   $98 total sales – it’s about a break even if I do not get rebills, I plan to keep it

BoneMe – $15 – I submit 3-10 galleries depending on time available, I have had the pass for 6 months now and I get about 1 sale a month, this one I plan not to renew next month and try a new one.

Shemp – $15 sale, I alternate Shemp passes, the traffic is excellent but sales are about 1 every other month. I won’t renew this month

Problem with Shemp / Bone is they are $40 Pas and I am not even seeing 50% back in sales.

I just got an account with Snakes World, traffic and listings seem good, about 3-4k per gallery no sales yet but it’s a week old

I had RR for a while, 6 months or so and took 2 months off from it, I renewed yesterday and just waiting on Submit Pass to approve. I had mixed results with them, traffic is good for me there but some stuff never sold while other stuff did have 1 or 2 sales a month. So I will try again and only submit what I have seen sell there

I plan to try Lib of Thumbs probably start next week after some work travel I have

The net –net is I am not making money on partner accounts yet, at least what I can track. I will post blog info from last month next.

This month I will have 5 PAs:

I renewed Chameleon last month and submitted 21 of 29 days at least 2 galleries, I have 1 sale from submitting, $15 but the site I got the sale from, I plan to manually submit to as its geared towards Kinky Dollars content I promote. I won’t renew that now for 30 days again, build a few blogs then renew to build back links.

I also had $13 in webmaster referral sales.  My conversions have also dipped.  I’m used to about 1:200 on totemcash – not 1:583!!!!  No doubt this had a significant impact on my gross revenue.  Must be that most of my galleries are getting old have hit the back pages by now and are getting lower quality traffic.  In fact, at least 2 of the sales above are from galleries I submitted months ago.  Once I start submitting again on a daily basis, my hope is that my conversions will go back to their norm.

I actually opened an account with them months ago and haven’t touched it since. I have 30 pics up pointing to my blog.  If you want to know how much traffic you might get, here are the stats for my blog over 30 days.

18x.com is also their site, so your pictures will automatically get posted there too.  So if you combine 18x and ratexpics, you get 445 hits in 30 days.  If I look over the last 6 months, it’s pretty much the same every month – between 1 and 15 hits per day.

Your traffic will vary greatly depending on how well rated your picture is.  If your picture hits the top 10, then you get on page 1 of the top 25 list.  This easily multiplies your traffic.  I can’t find the stats right now, but I remember seeing a few spikes when this happens – nothing like thousands of hits, more like 30-50 per day extra for a short while.

Do these turn into sales? There’s no reliable way to track it with totemcash.  I haven’t tried them with other sponsors that have good tracking.  All I can say is I do get sales from my blogs – far and few between.

Ratexpics is a great place to post pictures and test out what pics get rated and clicked on.  Hell, you might even get a few sales.  However, it’s very limited – 30 pics and only 1 account allowed.  You could buy some spots there for a reasonable price, which I’ve considered.  Oh! and don’t forget their free toplist.  You just put their link on your site.  I’ve had their link on my blog since october.  You get a few clicks from that too.

Now I had never heard of Rate X Pics and the first thing I thought of was Rob’s domain Rated X Pics. And then I got pissed because I thought “Fucking Rob didn’t tell us he was getting that much traffic and allowing submissions”…lol Ok so once I realized it was a different site I checked it out. I must say i am very impressed with it. Here is how it works. You setup a free account that lets you post up to 30 pics at any given time and link them to whatever URL you want as long as it is on the same domain as the photo. Well surfers basically see a slide show of the pics in any given category and they rate them 1 to 10. The higher your photo gets rated the more your photo is shows which means more traffic to your link. Whats also great about this is that you don’t have to post any recip link anywhere. I have added about 5 pics so far and will continue adding them through out the day until I get to my 30 pic limit. I have been linking back to some of my galleries so far but I will probably be linking more to my blog with the next photos I post.

Right around 2006 (the year I turned 40) I started loosing steam.  I’ve put on about 30 pounds, stopped exercising, stopped going out socially, and lost my will to make any substantial amount of money.  I’ve learned to get by doing and earning as little as possible.  I think the problem is I’m just too much a creature of habit.  After 4 years of this, I’ve gotten lazy.

So today I made a schedule that I plan on sticking too.  Basically it’s go start the day early, build a gallery, go to the gym, have lunch, go to work, then wind down – which includes writing in this blog which I enjoy .

Basically it lets you put links on your blog (or any type of site) like a blog roll.  WordPress has this built in already, but using this script, you can centralize all your links.

So for example, I want to have all my dating sites have links to all my other dating sites.  I just add all my dating site links into one place and then add one line of script to all my dating blogs.  Now whenever I add a new dating site, all my dating sites will have links to it – without me having to go into each site and add it to the blog roll.

I setup my totemcash blogs to test it out.  Go to Rated X Pics and look at the bottom of the right sidebar.  You’ll see links to 2 other totemcash blogs I have.  Then if you visit those, you’ll see the same links.

Damn, the above link list script from blogrolling puts a popup ad on your site.  Can’t recommend it for adult sites, but maybe you have other sites this may be suitable for, so I’m gonna leave the above for reference.  I’ve removed it from my blogs for now – at least until they implement the following:

Here are some links that describe what’s happening.  Although the particular hack that is affecting me is not exactly as described in these articles, it’s pretty close.  I’m sure we’re going to see several variations of this hack spreading out until the hosting companies figure out how to stop this.

This is affecting my blogs on hostgator and occ.  Webair sent me an email notifying me of suspicious activity and changed my ftp password.  So far those sites are okay.

Besides being a pain in the ass, this could potentially put my sites on a blacklist as a malicious site if left unchecked! People are reporting their own hosting company shutting down their entire accounts.  So visit your sites regularly and make sure they haven’t been hacked.

I installed avast free antivirus on my computer which luckily blocked this script before infecting my computer, which is what brought this to my attention when I was trying to login to one of my blogs.

So install avast (or other credible antivirus program) right away.  This hack as been identified as dangerous – allowing the hacker to gain access to your computer.

I am very disappointed with this account. He barely sends and traffic at all and im getting listed at both sites! Its so bad I was almost going to report this to submit passes and ask for a refund but i decided to just call it a learning experience and I also thought about how they don’t really guarantee any amount of traffic but hell im probably getting less than 200 hits per gallery. Oh well he will never get my cash again.

Snakes World 2 submits daily for $30.00

Very Pleased. He sends alot of traffic for the price he charges. So far ive already gotten over 20k hits. Im guessing this is why ive never heard anyone talk about snakes world accounts. They wanted to keep this treasure to themselves…lol

Once again another great pic. Over 20k hits already which is about 3k per gallery. I was recommended this account a few months ago but never tried it. I see i really missed out.

Richards Realm 2 submits daily (you really can submit 3) for $40.00

Kinda disappointed in this one. As alot of you know Richards Realm has been around for a loooong time. I was really expecting more traffic from him. Ive only received about 4k hits and he has approved 14 galleries. Hopefully this is a account that kinda starts off slow but the traffic builds up later on.

Porn Thunder 1 submit daily for $20.00

Ok for 20 bucks you cant expect a bunch but surprisingly you get a good little bang for your buck. Ive gotten about 4k hits on 7 approved galleries which is the same as I have gotten from Richards Realm for double the price. I also like the webmaster control panel they have for all partner accounts.

Ok so thats about it for reviews. If you have had any experience with Richards Realm please let me know what type of traffic you got from him because I feel like this just isnt right for a site that is old as that.

Also if you are not submitting to Persian Kitty you need to. The submit account is free and they send decent traffic. This month so far I have gotten about 16k hits from them. Not bad for a free account.

I don’t think we need another tld, especially one just for porn.  Although there is no law right now requiring adult sites to use the .xxx tld, I feel like these things usually have a way of working there way up to the status of “unwritten” law.  Without getting into censorship issues, hosting companies could easily write this into their terms of service and force adult sites to use the .xxx.   All of the other companies that support the adult industry could also start requiring adult businesses to use the .xxx tld such as advertising and partner accounts.

Once you start limiting choices, costs go up.  What if the .xxx tld is priced at $1000 as some have speculated.  What if hosting companies charge more for hosting .xxx?  Any number of factors could drive the cost of starting an adult business outside the reach of many wanting to get started in this business.  Even worse, those of us (including myself) could be driven out.

But let’s take pricing out of the issue.  Let’s say that a .xxx is only $10 and no one is requiring you use a .xxx domain.  You could continue to use the .com, but will you also buy the .xxx to cover your basis?  Just like many buy all of the major tld’s to cover their trademark and domain name, you’d almost be forced to buy the .xxx too.  What if the search engines decided to rank the adult “.com” sites lower for generic keywords like “teen” or “college cheerleader”.  If you’re into seo, then you’d almost be forced to buy the .xxx as well.

I could go on and on, but those are the major points that concern me – not including censorship.  I think it’s obvious the ramifications censorship and how easy it will be to block .xxx tlds.

Do I see any plus side to the .xxx?  Possibly one, and it’s a very weak argument.  Conversions will improve since anyone visiting a .xxx was probably looking for porn.  In my opinion, the .xxx tld will draw more lookers than buyers since they didn’t have to look very hard.  Not that it’s hard now.  Hence conversions will be even worse, which will indirectly drive up costs through bandwidth, advertising, and time.
