I bought a new mouse last night. My old logitech media that I’ve had for years finally got it’s last use as “work” mouse. I love that mouse, and will use it in living room now. I won’t need the kind of precision required for my media center setup. The problem I was having with it were the gliders on the bottom of the mouse finally wore out. You know how it is, you want your mouse to glide smoothly on the mouse pad when building galleries. I tried furniture polish, turtle wax, and got an extra slick mouse pad. Nothing really helped.

Anyway, I think the extra hours finally caught up to me. I really tried, but I couldn’t finish building my sites last night, hence didn’t submit anything. I only got the two galleries done and started on the warning page before I couldn’t keep my eyes open anymore. I got up this morning and finished it, submitted using chameleon, then did all the email confirmations at the day job. I’ve effectively lost the day since many sites don’t accept more than 1 submit every 24hours. I started making too many mistakes anyway, as I’ll elaborate on belwo.

The above template is a little weak. Nothing I’m too proud of. Basically it took too much time to adjust properly versus the final look. If I’m gonna spend a lot of time tweaking a template, it better be damn good. This one is just a simple border template with 3 rows. Lot of work for too little effect.

I made a typo in the gallery name, but the links work. Be interesting to see if I get any search engine hits on the misspelling.

I reviewed todays rejection list and emails. The list in chameleon had the usual items. Some I could correct, some I couldn’t. However, got a new one in the email. Apparently they detected that my banners didn’t link properly to the sponsor and 404′d. Sure enough, I pasted the link incorrectly. I spend a few minutes this morning correcting that and uploaded all the files. About 24hours have passed since I originally submitted those, so hopefully I won’t get knocked for “changing” the gallery after submitting it. Mistakes like this are bound to happen, especially when you’re tired.

I also noticed some of the tgps don’t like more than 5 links on the page. My usual setup is 3 recips, 3 sponsor links. I’ll have to reduce either the recips or the sponsor. I think going 2 recips and 3 sponsor is a better choice. Gonna try that next, but I remember reading some rule about having at least 3 recips? We’ll see.

Nothing new to report statistically. Traffic is still trending up, no sales.

For today and tomorrow, I’m gonna try and start building my blog empire. Howling has a great post on his blog empire click here. It’s a good read. Ed-banger at greenguy posted this response to my thread. He seems to be going for the keyword domain strategy for seo traffic. He also has an active forum of his own here. I can’t speak for the quality of the forum, as I only skimmed it. But if you have any feedback on it, let me know. It looks decent enough. I’ll add it (or not) to my links roll on the sidebar once I’ve had a chance to participate in it.
