Day 12 – Chameleon Submitter Still Impresses

Like many of you who may be reading this blog, I’m trying to build my adult entertainment business to supplement my low paying day job. I did some research and put together a plan. I started this blog to document how the plan is progressing.

The original plan was to start using chameleon link list submitter for 30 days. A few days into the execution, I added chameleon tgp submitter to the routine. Now about halfway into this, I thought I’d try to share some of the stats I’m getting. I figure it’s been more than enough time for my sites to get approved by moderators and listed, without being too long before the listings get stale.

Basically I have to put together stats across 4 domains on 2 different hosts. It’s a combo of awstats, wustats, and google analytics. I’ll do my best not to double count or count things not credited to chameleon. It’s not an exact science, but should be close enough for me to get a feel for what my efforts are producing using this tool.

NexusGold.com :
Date Started: November 7
Total Traffic: 4017 Visits (wustats)
Niches: pornstar, babe, lesbian
Sponsors Promoted: Totemcash, Fling, Twistys
Freesites: 7
TGP Galleries: 7

Classyride.com:
Date Started: November 5
Total Traffic: 408 uniques (awstats)
Niches: mature, milf
Sponsors Promoted: Traffic Cash – please bang my wife
Freesites: 1
TGP: 0

Modellane.com:
Date Started: November 2
Total Traffic: about 2800 visits (awstats)
Niches: Pornstar
Sponsor Promoted: Twistys
Freesites: 2
TGP: 0

InsanelyHot.com
Date Started: November 2
Total Traffic: 200+ uniques (awstats)
Niches: Pornstar
Sponsor Promoted: Totemcash
Free sites: 2
TGP: 0

Total clicks to all sponsors is less than 200. Total sales I can from above: 0. I didn’t setup decent way to track this accurately, but I hope by next month I’ll have something in place. Each sponsor has some sub id’s I can setup except for totem. Totems referral stats are no better than anyone else, and there is no way to setup a sub id.

You’ll notice that modellane got 2800+ visits with just 2 free sites. The bulk of that is from persiankitty. This weekend I’m gonna try and analyze perisankitty and see if I can get listed more often.

Nexusgold is getting the most traffic. I started using chameleon tgp submitter together with the link list submitter. I really only added about 1 hour total to each days work, so it was a good investment.

Other thoughts: Chameleon does submit to Richards Realm and thehun, but I’m not getting listed on those sites. I’ll have to look into that a bit more as well. Many of the sites I’m seeing already listed on their sites don’t really look any better than what I’m cranking out.

Summary: Honestly, despite these dismal numbers, I’m still very happy with chameleon. I really think it’s doing a heck of a job submitting to sites I’d never be able to do otherwise. Some of the comments I see in the forums about not getting traffic from chameleon is generally true. You really need at least 10 times what I’m getting now to even have any hope of making a few dollars, let alone make a living. But chameleon still impresses me for it’s ease of use (after you learn how to use it), and overall features. Having a programming background, I really appreciate what it’s doing automatically. It even makes the manual submits virtually automatic.

Is it worth about $50/month to have these tools? I think so, even if the dollars coming in don’t justify it yet. I can’t imagine trying to start this business without it. You learn a lot from just using it. Particularly when you get rejected or when the software fails in one way or another. How many times did Edison fail before making a light bulb? With chameleon, you accelerate the number of failures so that in the end, you learn what works much faster.

Thanks to everyone who is reading, I appreciate your feedback as well.
