I’ve finally figured out another reject reason. For the tgp submits, I kept getting these “you have too many links, we only allow 6″ rejects. I’d look at my page and see only 6 links, so I couldn’t figure this out. Now I understand what’s happening. Some of the recips have 2 links in them. The html recips will have 2 rows in a table with different text like “xyz tgp” then the next row would say “Amatuer Porn”, each pointing to the same site, but different pages.
Not sure what to do about this. I could go and manually change the recips, but chameleon updates almost daily, so some of the recips will just go back to the way they were. With over 1400 tgp/mgp sites, this would just add too much work. I could reduce the number of recips on each page, but some tgps like to be grouped with at least 2 other tgps sites. I’ll give this some more thought and see if there is another solution.
I really didn’t work too hard this weekend. I effectively lost another day of submitting. I just got lazy. However I did submit the bare minimums. Tommys not approving all the galleries I submitted. So I submitted just one per day to his site this weekend to see if the previous galleries would go live. I have 4 galleries not showing. I assume because he didn’t like them for one reason or another, not because I broke any rules. I don’t want to loose this partner account, it’s really driving the most traffic.
I did a lot of reading this weekend in the forums, maybe too much. I keep reading about how tgps and free site submitting is just not cutting it anymore. I suppose it’s not like it used to be, but for someone starting out, there’s no history to compare. How can a newbie complain about conversions if they have nothing to compare it too? Why discourage us from starting our business with tgp and free site submits?
The way I see it is you need to just start doing something. Put a plan together and stick to it until you either succeed or fail. I’m coming up on my 30 day plan with chameleon LL submitter, and 21 day mark with chameleon tgp submitter. It’s way too early to say this plan is a success or a failure. At least I think so. I’m still learning the ropes. In the next 30 or 60 days, I think I can nail tgp and LL submitting. It’s just a matter of fine tuning my galleries, finding the right sponsor for the right niches, and building up more partners.
Another common thread in the forums seems to revolve around the future of online porn. Whether it’s the credit card processors pulling out, 2257 enforcement, new ftc rules, pirating, or whatever. It could go to the extreme where online porn is just flat out illegal, like in Korea and China. I just don’t see that happening here in the USA. There is just way too much money going around for the government to decide it doesn’t want a piece of that action anymore. Never mind freedom of speech.
Well, enough of that rant. Not much I can do about all that.
I haven’t made any sales in two days, I assume because of the holiday. I suspect it will be slow for a while. I picked a hell of a time to start doing this, lol. No matter, by the time things pick up again and the economy comes back, I’ll be at the top of my game!
Here’s what I did this weekend.
Free site: Petite Brunette
Sponsor: GammaCash
Gallery: Jane’s Tight Ass
Sponsor: Fling.com Affiliate Program
Oh, one other point came up in tomsnewbiebooster.com. Using hardcore galleries vs. softcore. The thinking here is by giving out hardcore galleries for free, the surfer will have no reason to pay for a membership. Honestly, I think that shipped has sailed. The hardcore category is on just about every tgp site I’ve seen. I can’t think of one non-niche specific tgp that doesn’t have it.
Still, I used both hardcore and softcore. Right now softcore is outselling my hardcore galleries. However, I think it’s due to the fact that totemcash only offers softcore in it’s free content, which is what I primarily promote.
Well, time to get to work. Hope all is well.
