Day 1 – Adult Blog Plan gets put into action today.

Now that I’ve had a full 30 days on Chameleon TGP submitter and 37 days on Chameleon LL submitter, I’m going to add adult blogging to the routine. When I started submitting last month, it was taking 5-6 hours minimum to build the pages, submit, and do email confirmations. I’ve got this down to less than 3 hours, so I can now comfortably add another stage in my business.

I was teetering between starting my own tgp/directory site and building blogs. Since I’m already very familiar with blogging, the technical learning curve will be virtually zero. I’ve only waited this long because I didn’t really know what to post or how to structure an adult blog. After looking at many blogs over the last 30-60 days, I’ve got a feel for it…I think.

To that end, I purchased 3 domains last night. I also have several domains that have been sitting with nothing on them except maybe a full page ad or a blog pulling sponsor rss feeds. Although the sponsor rss feeds do bring some search engine traffic, it’s like 1 or 2 hits per day. So it’s time to put these into high gear.

I also have 3 other blogs that I did actively promote early on when I decided to really start working this business. All I did was put some sponsor content. In September-October, before I had chameleon, I hand submitted about 6 galleries to freeones. This brought some traffic and a few sales in October. This is what go me motivated to really start working this business. I mean, I made $200 with almost no effort. I ask myself what would happen if I really put a serious effort?

Hence I started joining forums, doing research, and asking lots of questions. I put a plan together and began the execution in November. I made several mistakes early on, and a few sites have banned my submits. But using chameleon really shortened my learning curve from months to maybe weeks in several areas.

After I have the blogs setup, I’ll post a little more detail on my process and plans. Basically I am going to follow howlingwulf’s blog empire suggestions to start, then make changes as I go. Insidewebmastering.com has some excellent tutorials if you are new to adult blogging. I’m already familiar with most of lessons there, but if you are new to blogging and want to start adult blogging, this is an excellent resource for beginners.

All this blog planning and researching has set me back a little on my submits. I still submit everyday, but only 1 gallery instead of 2 or 3 galleries and a free site. I started promoting pimproll couple days back and I’m now starting to get some hits to them. Here’s what I did yesterday.

I found another awesome forum while researching this weekend. Medium Pimpin. It’s the most active forum I’ve seen so far in the adult business. Looks like a good group of members, including shemp.com. You should really read the adult webmaster interviews they have posted there. I just started the one with shemp. There really wasn’t any actionable items in there, but it really gave me a sense of wisdom about the business that you can’t get anywhere else.

Well I hope everyone is doing well. I’m on track this month to do a little better than last, so I’m still going in the right direction. Thanks for reading.

  2. I know specifically it was my freesite structure. I talked about it a little bit before.
Basically I have a “doorway” site structure which some webmasters don’t like. Not sure why it’s a problem.

When I use chameleon LL submitter, I build the freesite like this.

index with warning and recips –> inside main page with links to 2 galleries –> each gallery

the directory structure looks like this:

    /niche/freesite1/index.html
    /niche/inside.html
    /niche/gallery1.html
    /niche/gallery2.html

Because the index page is in a separate directory, it’s considered a doorway page vs. a true “site”.

The proper structure will have everything in a single directory like this:

    /niche/freesite1/index.html
    /niche/freesite1/inside.html
    /niche/freesite1/gallery1.html
    /niche/freesite1/gallery2.html

I haven’t really figured out how to get chameleon to do this automatically, so I have to hard link all the thumbs and images. I only adds about 15-20mins to my time to build it this way. I just been lazy I guess. But it is something I intend on doing shortly.

Other bans were against my hosting company. Not sure why some webmasters don’t like webair. But that only accounts for an average of 5 or 6 sites depending on the niche.

I have one site I’m not sure why Im banned, but my best guess is that it is a mature granny site and I’ve been submitting milf. I haven’t gone to the site to see what’s getting posted there to compare, so it’s only a guess.

    Thanks for reading and commenting!

  3. hmm,
Have they banned you altogether or was it just that site?
If they have, that’s a little harsh!

  4. Forgot to mention:
have you tried to structure your sites like this:
    freesite/index.htm
    freesite/main.htm
    freesite/gallery1/
freesite/gallery2/ (both galleries are in folders with each page being index.htm

  5. I contacted on of the webmasters, they said if I changed my site structure they would let me submit again.

  6. I suppose it would be just as easy to do it that way. Any reason for adding another subdirectory just for the galleries? Not that I understand why they want it all in a single directory in the first place???

Just seems like a lot of overhead to create a single free site, since I have separate directories for the thumbs, images, and template graphics.

  7. There’s no reason at all for the subdir, not that I can think of, but some rules on LL’s don’t seem to have reason! I suggested that structure as LL’s seem to like it! might help you get listed better?

  8. Rob, not to be anal about it but try to keep free-site structure like this:
    freesite/index.htm
    freesite/main.htm
    freesite/gallery1/
    freesite/gallery2/
SE’s sees it as one structure and in theory should give you more SE juice.
In practice that juice won’t be much visible but doorway pages can cause trouble especially for LL. If SE sees that one particular LL is listing only doorway pages, it won’t fly very high in search results.
Also that structure should be more SEO. EXAMPLE:
    oral-sex/jizz-hardcore/
    oral-sex/jizz-hardcore/deep-throat.html
    oral-sex/jizz-hardcore/deep-throat-gallery-1.html
    oral-sex/jizz-hardcore/deep-throat-gallery-1.html

  9. Thanks for explaining that. I never looked at it from an seo point of view. Makes perfect sense now. It’s so ironic because the reason for structuring it that way is so obvious, I can’t believe I didn’t see it when it was right in my face. I really appreciate you writing out the directory structures, I know how much extra time it takes to type all that out. :)
