A Good Start

Despite not doing as much as I could this week, the year is starting off pretty good. I had 3 sales for $105 total. Traffic is down pretty significantly, so I really need to find some time to get my submits back up to 3 per day instead of 1.

I’ve been working my blogs a little harder. Now that they’ve been up a few weeks, they are indexed and getting some nice se traffic on the keywords I’m targeting. I also discovered a few new keywords I can target.

I haven’t written much text content for the posts. Typically just one sentence if any. So it seems the post title is what’s most important. If you’ve seen my blogs, flingmain.com is one of them, you’ll notice I simply post a single pic and a short text like “nice ass”. I’m going to continue this strategy for a while since it adds very little time to my blogging. This really is in contrast to so many adult blogs I’ve seen by webmasters I respect. They typically have 200 words or so for each post. I’m lousy at writing adult content, and too cheap right now to outsource it.

In other news, my boneme partner account is driving some good traffic. I’m not getting the most out of it since I’m not taking advantage of the 10 submits/day limits.

I also made a lengthy post at the greenguyandjim forum in response to another newbie looking to get started. Basically all I said was work hard, but I do outline some basic steps that got me to where I am today. You can take a look here http://www.greenguyandjim.com/board/showthread.php?t=55926 .

I didn’t make the totemcash top 100 webmasters last month, despite sending even more traffic. Just the law of large numbers working against me. I also haven’t promoted it almost daily as I did in November. The new VAT tax on sales is taking out a big chunk – 19.4%.

Hope everyone is doing well and making sales!

  1. Rob. Check to see if your galleries are also getting listed on pinkworld. I have a pinkworld partner account and my galleries get listed on pinkworld and boneme but I have never submitted to boneme so i think the same guy owns both TGPs. Also I still am not making anything with totemcash. Some of my old galleries are still sending traffic and I im am 1:11 for installs but nobody buys anything. You still having luck with them?

  2. I haven’t posted anything to pinkworld. Do you have a paid partner account with them? The whois info between pinkworld and boneme are totally different. Is every gallery you submit at pinkworld getting onto boneme? Boneme has several sites.

I haven’t made any sales this week on totem. I’m at 378 clicks and 13 installs at the moment from Jan 1 – now. That’s like 1:29! You can look at my previous post and see my totemcash stats for december which were not great, but not bad.

  5. Great blog and super info. Since you are just getting started, maybe you might be interested in experimenting with promoting a niche site that gets very little exposure. Here is a sample gallery http://www.ichtrinkepisse.com/galleries/bathtub/eladies.htm If you are email me at webmaster@ ichtrinkepisse . com.

I’m really not ready for that niche yet. But I’ll leave your comment up in case someone else reading this might be interested. Thanks for posting.

I visited that forum last month and wrote a little about it shortly after that. Nice forum with some good tutorials, particularly for bloggers.

I signed up using rob6188 as my userid, not sure why I didn’t just use my normal alias mark6188.

Anyway, thanks for the compliment. I don’t deserve any credit since I’m really not making that much money.

  8. Hi Rob,

Nice info, I came across this blog searching fo rmore info on Totem, I hve started to push that and have 460 hits, 18 installs 0 sales so far. I am hoping installs go to sales.. maybe ?

I have been at thsi for 3 weeks and what i found out fast is focus is needed, I was all over teh map pushing too may sponsors, I am down to 2 tah tI plan to focus on fo r30 day sprior to pushing any others.

One question I cant seem to answer is how to start a blog like this, is there a SW install on the server then how to generate the intrest / SE links etc..

I am searching the net like crazy looking for start up tips on blogs.

    thx

I think your focus should be by niche regardless of the number of sponsors. For example, I promote milf for trafficcashgold and nastydollars. When I find another sponsor who does milf well, I’ll promote for them too. Once you get good at promoting a niche, move on to another niche, or expand on the one your on. Like milf lesbians, milf solo, milf with teen, ebony milf, asian milf, etc…

Tommy at tommysbookmarks told me to get lots of little checks rather than shooting for a few larger checks. I’m taking that advice for now, so I always keep looking for new sponsors, but I don’t just join anything. I take a little time to research them before signing up.

Totem is unique, and their content is very focused. I may expand into other software based adult entertainment like virtual 3d sex online. I found a couple of sponsors who I think have it right and will write about them soon.

It’s difficult to promote the same sponsor on a daily basis if you are doing tgp submits. Many tgp owners like variety and would prefer you not promote the same sponsor day after day.

As for starting a blog, it depends on your hosting company. Most use cpanel, so you would look for a link to wordpress or “fantastico”. There should be a link to install wordpress like “new installation”. Follow the steps, its very simple. Once installed, you go into the wordpress admin area or “dashboard” and setup and/or install themes. There are several settings, most can be left as is for now.

It’s fairly straight forward, just take your time. I’ll write up something later on how I setup my blogs.

Your totem stats are not bad and the installs will eventually convert. If you go through my blog, you’ll see my conversion ratios for Nov and Dec. For Jan, I’ve made one sale so far and 26 installs.

Good luck and thanks for reading!

  10. Hi all

I have been at this for 3.5 months now, here is my 2 cents

    1. I am not going to use Chem Submiter any more, any sales I get are from the larger TGPs and any volume to my sponsors is from them too. It is curently from what I see a waste of time to submit to 300-1000 of these smaller sites. Better time spent focusing on 5-10 larger ones with partner accounts if posible – maybe Chem is worth it to speed up the 5-10 submits not sure its worth it then however

    2. Sales are very weak, with a focus or with out from what I see, I submitted 3 gal / day 80 of the last 90 days, MO 1 – $30, MO 2 $22 and curren tmonth $11 For the time spent I am considering canning the entire effort but I paid for a few partner accounts and may at least ride them out

    3. It seems there is so much free content out there that sales are just very very hard to come by, most of my efforts are submissions, free sites and trying to get some traffic to my small tgp submissions to big TGPs = 99% of my small sales

I am not saying give up, I am not (yet) but this train may be long gone for the little guys, if you have 5-10k to invest in a slick website and drive traffic to, you then perhpas can make some sales but even then, not so sure and it takes a long time to develop reoccuring traffic.

It is disscouraging ive put a ton of effort and focus hoping to get 2-5 sales a month that 50% turn to reoccuring etc… its just no thappening. I have tried several sposors and when I see 0-1500 in conversions I bail and move on to another, I have 4 sponsors that fit taht bill and 4 that have at least 1 conversions but the numbers are not fun to look at

    1-3311
    1-2302
    1-1032
1-482 (I got a sale at 1-17 but dead after that so far.)

Considering I get about 50 clicks/day from a single submission (from partner accounts) this is a huge hill to climb.

    Good luck

Thanks for sharing your experience in great detail.

The few that have shared their stats have seen similar if not worse numbers. Strangely my numbers don’t seem quite as bad considering I’m still not getting anywhere near as much traffic.

I am up about $169 this month, about par with last month. I’m averaging only about 1 gallery per day since mid December.

I agree that it would be easier to submit to just a handful of large tgp sites for 99% of the traffic rather than using chameleon.

Still, I just love chameleon anyway. I’ve got it down to where I can submit everything (about 200-300 sites per day) in 30 minutes including the confirmations using chameleon email confirmer. I started experimenting today by pointing to my own blogs in addition to sponsors on my galleries. Hopefully this will improve my se rankings for the keywords I’m using as anchor text.

I would highly recommend (if you haven’t already) to review howling-wulf’s blog. He posts all his stats and income. It’s actually very encouraging.

Sometimes I feel like I’m spinning my wheels, but then I’ll get a sale. My goal now is to develop my static sites. They are so pathetic – http://nexusgold.com

Thanks again for posting, and I hope your numbers turn around for the better.
