I spent most of the day yesterday working on a new blog. Still have a few loose ends, but it’s pretty much done. It incorporates all of the techniques I’ve outlined before, plus 4 NEW plugins that are pretty cool.
Here is the Blog: Rated X Pics
It’s a pic post and pic rating site. It’s sort of a blog version of the ratexpics.com site. It displays one picture at a time, then lets the visitor rate and move onto another random pic in the archive. It also randomly morphs a description for each picture. I’ll explain why I do this in a minute. Finally, there is a report broken or inappropriate post plugin that let’s users report a bad link. I added this incase I decide to open up this blog as a pic post to other webmasters.

To populate my blog, I used plugins photoq and utopia cron. I then went to totemcash and downloaded some girls content. In the info.xml file of the content is a description of the model. I use this description for all the pics. This would normally make 16 duplicate descriptions for the 16 pics in the content. To morph these descriptions for each post, I used the wp chame leon plugin. This way I get a unique description for each post!

Going back to business about the gallery I got feedback on yesterday, it has now been posted to most of the tgp sites. I’m already seeing an improved install and ctr (just a gut feeling).
I had 102 clicks and 4 installs yesterday vs. 98 clicks and 0 installs the day before. As most of you know by now, it’s hard to track totemcash exactly with a more sophisticated tracking system which I’ll have to explore later.
I’m also getting some good results with another new blog: College Girl Strips
- 190 Visits (after deducting 33 from this blog)
- 71 clicks to sponsor lightspeedcash
- 0 sales
- Most of the visits came from google searches!
I’m gonna work on updating all my blogs with the text morphing as soon as I get jester-x to write some stuff up for me.
I’m focusing on blogging based on lots of things I’ve mentioned before. However, there is a nice little survey over at the mp forum that justifies blogging as a serious medium for the adult webmaster. Take a look here: How are you making money these days
Currently blogs are #1 with galleries #2.
Based on the results I’m seeing so far, I would have to agree. Although my new blogs aren’t making money yet, they show huge promise based on the traffic I’m getting so far.

I have thrown the towel in on Totem, 5k unique 150 installs 0 sales has turned me off for now. Had I got 1 sale id probably push more but mehh

I’m really loving my new blog too, thanks. Can’t believe totem is not panning out for you. My totemcash stats are bad this month too. I’m at 884 clicks, 26 installs, 1 sale for $5. However, I do “feel” a sale coming. I’m a bit psychic you know. LOL.

I wouldn’t pay $100/month for worldsex either. It’s not in my budget nor my level commitment yet – meaning I’m just not submitting consistently enough to recommend it to myself yet.
Your 3-5 year goal is a bit conservative. You’re really picking up on this blogging thing without too much problem, so you seem to have a knack for techie stuff. With the level of commitment you’re showing, I’d think you’d be doing well by end of year.

There’s no short answer to that question, but I’ll try.
Go to Pingler.com and submit your blog there once.
Setup a twitter account and add your website to your account info.
Use the post to twitter plugin to have your blog posts on that twitter account.
Setup a friendfeed acount and add your blog feed to that account
Go back to pingler and submit the feeds from the twitter account and friendfeed account.
At the pingler home page, cut and past all the sites in the ping list to your blog in the “Settings – > Write” section at the bottom below the pingomatic url.
If you blog is on hostgator, make sure the privacy settings of you blog are set to notify search engines.
Go to google’s webmaster tools and add your site to your google account and submit the xml site map – use the google xml sitemap plugin to generate one.

That’s the basic mechanics of what I do. You could go further and setup facebook accounts, use the onlywire plugin and setup all the social bookmarking accounts it has. I didn’t find that to be as helpful and many of the accounts probably don’t allow adult content anyway. But it doesn’t hurt to set everything up.
The key to getting initial se traffic is have the right keyword domain. I’ll do a post on that later, but the principle is find a keyword without a ton of competition but gets tons of searches. Check out seobook.com and install there plugin for firefox. It’s been tremendous in helping me out and it’s free too. keeping and then building the traffic will require getting inbound links with the keyword in the anchor text. You’ll notice I use “college girl fucked” as the anchor text to my collegegirlfucked.com blog, even when I post asking for reviews in the forums. Of course you don’t want to abuse that technique, but when I really want a review for example, that’s what I do.
I also do that in this blog on every post. Particularly like the totemcash or virtuagirl links. I get several hits per day from people looking for adult affiliate programs for virtuagirl and fling.
I’ve only scratched the surface and I’m no expert, but I am having some success and trying to build on that.
by the way, remember when I said I was feeling a sale coming on? I got one today for totem cash $11 !!!!! Told you I was psychic!

If the theme doesn’t natively support it, you would have to edit the the footer, header, or main.php files and insert the “a href” html.
Themes that natively support putting rss links/icons will use a widget in the apprearence settings, or have settings specifically to the them in the apprearence menu.

This blog started getting hits on adult affiliate related keywords after a couple of weeks. I think what really helped was having my blog in link in the signature of my forum posts – ie backlinks from related sites. Currently I get 4-20 hits per day on keywords, then another 4-40 hits from the forums and direct typein traffic.
For my adult blogs, some get traffic right away, some are still getting virtually no traffic. Remember that post I made last month “case study on new blog“? It’s getting 1-15 hits per day on keywords and it is virtually brand new.
Your next step would be to try and get some back links from related sites. Make a gallery with only links to your blog and none to sponsors and then submit it to tgps and link lists. Ideally, the gallery will be on the same domain as your blog. Use slight different anchor text for each of the links that you want to rank for.
Like your girlfriendfling.com site. You might do “Find a GirlFriend”, “GirlFriend cheating”, and “get a girlfriend”. Those keywords are getting thousands of searches compared to the direct keywords in your domain name “girl friend fling” which is getting zero according to the google keyword tool. The main idea here is to get traffic from the se on the keywords you are targeting, not so much getting hits from the tgp sites to convert.
I promise I’ll make a post on doing keyword research for seo here soon. There’s plenty of stuff about it online already, but it helps to see a real life example – particularly in the same niche. In the mean time, you can read this http://www.tracey-edwards.com/. She’s does amazon.com affiliate marketing, but gives a good outline of how to do keyword research.

I got two more blogs up today, going to start getting the back links going this week.
I have used the same theme for all and same basic layout, trying to “get” the process down and see some trafic. I got a free Fling sign up, I guess thats a start
7 days left in month 2, sale are slugish at best but ive had hosting issues that hurt trafic, that said conversions are weak considering the submissions and partner accounts. My plan is to give sponsors 5k uniques and if I get no sales ill shelf them.

Good job on the blogs. As they say, just keep building. Congrats on the fling free signup. It’s a pretty tough sell on the tgp highway, but my blogs do very well. I’ve been really lazy and not submitting anything. I think I’ve only submitted 2 or 3 galleries this month. Still, I’m making sales. Have about $70 on totemcash and $70 on fling right now. I’m working on some blog plugin of my own, not getting much feedback at the mp forum though.
