Will I’m back to submitting regularly now – 2 per day – up to 6 submits in three days. Not sure why I stopped last week, it’s so easy for me now.
I’m still using chameleon tgp submitter. I went and looked at my January stats and cleaned out all the manual submits that produced little or no traffic. So instead of doing 60 manual submits, I only need to do about 15-20 – a real time saver! I’ve dropped chameleon link list submitter this month. Trying to save some money till I start making over $500. The free sites where taking me a couple of hours to make, and although the traffic wasn’t bad, I just don’t have the motivation right now.
I’m still making galleries from scratch. Here’s my latest one using an internet marketing minisite template I picked up.
Couple of things I’m doing with this one. I’m promoting totemcash as usual, but also my new blog Rated X Pics. I’m going to try to drive some traffic and brand name it so maybe one day I can sell some traffic and advertising. It’s a pretty awesome domain name and I get about a dozen straight type in traffic hits for it everyday. No se traffic to speak of yet, but it is brand new.
I also spent and extra few minutes making a cute little graphic for the gallery where the girl asks for a vote and winks. I’m gonna start making some my galleries where the girl acts like she is talking to you via text bubbles like in cartoons and winking. It was so easy in fireworks. We’ll see if this helps click throughs, though it will be hard to measure in the short term.
The blogs are starting to be a chore. There are constant updates on the plugins that I have to go in and do. I only have about a dozen blogs going, but it’s very time consuming. I think once I get up to about 50+ blogs, I may have to look into blog organizer.
I’m learning to write my own plugins now. It’s not as hard as I thought, but there is a huge learning curve. I made a little plugin that will put a random link in the footer. The links are pulled from a database that I made in mysql. I have a simple form to add new links by category.
I asked for some feedback on the idea at the mp forum, no one seemed interested, but one person suggested that it was a quick way to the sandbox. I’m not sure I agree with that, since putting links across hundreds of sites is something we do everyday. For now, I’m gonna just use it on my own blogs.

Hope everyone is making lots of sales! I’m in a bit of a dry spell right now. Plenty of installs on virtuagirl and plenty of free signups for fling, but no sales or paid signups yet. I’m hoping my blogs will pick up on the se traffic and start driving some sales.

I’m in a downer mode at the moment due to almost 2 weeks without a sale, this despite submitting to 4 partner accounts all month long (RR, Tommy, Shemp, Bone Me) and I maxed submits to all the partners daily… Very very disappointing. I know I’m still new but man, 300+ galleries out there and nothing. The 22’nd is end of my 2nd month, I will post the dismal sale stats on the 23rd for you.
I have 5 Blogs now, some mistakes I made so far
1. Did not really understand the key word research thing until after my 4th blog was built. So I have 4 that have really poor keyword SE, but I am using keyword back links so we’ll see.
2. Don’t do domain name searches when it’s late, your tiered and had a few beers. I registered 3 domains I thought were winners only to find they were miss spelled and I missed that minor detail…
3. They are a lot of work… Although I hear some people fire them up and let them be for long spells of time, seems 10 posts is the magic number then let them alone for 2-3 months?
I plan to do a lot of keyword searching this weekend and probably buy 10-20 domains and make month 3 a focus to get to 25 blogs up. I agree too, Free Sites for the effort/time right now is not worth the LL $, I did not renew after 1 month. I may renew later to get some SE back links to blogs but not sure.
I also plan to not renew Bone ME or RR after the current pass runs up and try 2 others
Let me know if you want to hard link trade off some blogs some time.

We’ve all been there. I’m sure it’s hard to watch me make a few sales when doing less that half the work you are. I just made another sale this morning for fling $35, putting me at $182 this month so far.
Other than fling and totemcash, I haven’t made any sales for any other affiliate since Jan 1. Of course I push totemcash pretty hard, but fling is strictly blog money. What is driving that little momentum is when I get a sale, I can analyze all the stats and my galleries and everything I did up to that point. I then try to focus on what made it click for me and expand on that. Hence all the galleries for virtuagirl and now my focus on blogs.
On the domain names, I’ve bought a few in my day that I misspelled by accident. I usually just let them expire since I don’t want to fight an uphill seo battle.
You’ve budgeted quite a bit more that me. I’m a little more conservative. With all the partner accounts, hosting, and domains you plan to buy, that is quite an investment. But you now have everything in motion and I can easily see you making some decent money by year end.
I’m looking at some more tools to promote my blogs and will do a post about it once I try them out.
I’m not sure I believe in the 10 post per blog idea. There is a plugin to rotate the oldest post back to the top, I have it somewhere and will let you know. ed-banger uses this approach and just builds blogs. Haven’t seen him post his stats anywhere, but it would be interesting to see if his approach is still holding water.

To build from scratch, submit and do all the email confirmations, about 1 hour. I’ve been using a lot of free minisite templates I find from the internet marketing type sites. Then I cut and paste the models head shot using fireworks, add some text, and insert the thumbs.
It takes me a lot of time just writing up the text and descriptions. That’s why I put the free sites on hold for now. It was taking me a 2-3 hours to make a free site because of all the text and site structure.
I found a couple of more sites with free templates but you have to sign up to their mailing list. Hostgator has a bunch of free templates you can download too. Many of them have pictures of families or cars or some other unrelated stuff that I just delete out. Maybe I’ll do a post about how I build galleries. I never gave it much thought since I never thought my galleries were very good or original.
Your galleries look as good as any I’ve seen, but I’m hardly qualified to say one way or the other. I put one of my “best” galleries on mp forum for some feedback and it still needed lots of work.

I have 7 blogs going now with 1 I can put up soon (this week) listed below all same theme and all have had at least 2 TGP submits link backs, I plan to rotate the link backs this month with a link at the bottom as you mentioned. I see mostly traffic from the submits but have 3 SE hits across them no sales.
PS; Totem to date is 0:5403 with 143 installs, still getting hits form when I promoted them but have stopped, just frustrating for me even though I like the product / marketing.

I edited your links at the bottom and setup the anchor text for the keywords in your domain names. Hopefully that helps a little, doesn’t hurt to anchor text all your domains whenever you post.
Hopefully your se hits will pickup in the next 30 days. I’m working with a new free tool that automates the keyword research. I’ll make a post about it later once I get the hang of it.
I had a great weekend with fling too! 3 signups! I also got another totemcash signup for $22. I’ll post my final numbers end of month, but I’m up about $310 with a net of about $250.
