I’m still pluggin away at this. I’ve got the chameleon down to where I can setup and auto/manual submit everyting in about 30 mins or less. Peculiar glitch today. I was submitting a milf category today, yet it auto filled in pornstar category on all the manual submits. Not sure what it did on the auto submits, will have to check that. Pornstar was the last category I used, so it somehow did not want to switch. We’ll see if this continues tomorrow.

Final traffic count was 721 uniques from Nov 4th. Today is looking like it’s dropping a little, only up to 462 uniques with about 6 hours to go.

Still getting emails notifying me my listings were approved. They really do take a few days to review. It’s still early yet, so I’m hoping to see more approvals and more traffic. However, this little dip in traffic was not expected.

Anyway, I’m still excited and happy with chameleon. It’s doing it’s job. Might consider the tgp/mgp version here this weekend. I want to setup a new host before doing that. Don’t want to bombard my current host with bandwidth until I know how much to expect. I have a few sites that absolutely cannot go down.

Well, I’m on day 3 and I am now starting to see some traffic come in.
Got about 700+ uniques. No sales yet. I am seeing an increase in my sponsor click through. I don’t really have a way to seperate where the clicks are coming from just yet with totemcash. They do offer better tracking upon request. So when I start getting some sales, I’ll look into that.

I’ve submitted a total of 3 free sites off 2 domains. One promoting totem, the other promoting trafficcash.

For the galleries, I simply copied the layout of the sponsor hosted galleries the best I could. Didn’t want to reinvent the wheel.

My html skills area bit rusty, but getting the hang of it. I simply used the gallery builder in dreamweaver, then copied the result into a template.

They gave what I thought was a ton of free picture content. Each model has like 400+ pics to download. However, that number is a bit deceiving. I could only really use about 30-40 of those for the galleries. The pics are in a series and every 5 or 6 are virtually identical. The first 20 have the girl still fully dressed.

Totem on the other hand gives 16 pics in a series for each gallery that can be used as is. Saves me some time since I don’t have to cherry pic.

Anyway, appreciate anyone following me and thank you for all any feedback and help.

Today I got home from work and couldn’t wait to get started. I now have the templates setup and a good idea of how to use chameleon. This time it only took about 15 minutes to build a new free site with 2 galleries using the templates I made yesterday. About another 10 minutes setting up chameleon to submit the new free site, then about 1 hour to auto and manual submit. Finally, about 5 minutes to do the email confirmations.

I get about a 5% rejection rate. I think I can get this down to less than 1% once I get a handle on everything. Some of them were for bad descriptions, submitting twice by accident, and some I’m not sure why.

I’m getting emails regularly now from those sites accepting my galleries. Most of them say it takes 1 or 2 days to get listed.

I’m going to submit about 1 free site everyday this month and see how much I earn. I’m going to promote several sponsors for this project across several domains.

I spent my yesterday designing a standard warning page, main page, and 2 galleries using sponsor provided content. That took about 2 hours.

Then I started up chameleon, updated the recips, and started pluggin away. It took me a solid 3 hours learning it and getting everything setup. There is a relatively moderate learning curve. The software assumes you already know a lot about submitting to link lists. However, it has a comprehensive help section, and if you take your time, you’ll be fine. There are still a couple of options I’m not sure about what they are for. Particularly the additional pages option. I’ll update when I figure out what the purpose of that one is.

Then I started submitting. The auto submit was fast and painless. It only took a few minutes over a fast internet connection. The manual submit is quite a chore the first time. Most of the sites that require manual submitting have captchas – those hard to read security letters you have to enter before submitting. Some of them are very hard to read and it took me a couple of tries to get it right. Took me about 3 hours to submit to a list of about 200 sites total.

Overall the experience is about what I expected. About 6 hours of choosing content, thinking up the site structure, and making sure all everything was in order. What I didn’t expect was how powerful the chameleon submitter is. It really does a good job of automatically filling out the forms (even some of the captchas!), creating the recips pages, and guiding through the whole process.

If you are doing well with link lists but not using chameleon, I would highly recommend it. For newbies like myself, you might as well get started familiarizing yourself with link lists and chameleon. Link lists seem to be one of the key methods of getting traffic to your site and chameleon will give you a jump start on it.
